enFamilia Inc. was incorporated in September 2000 with the goal of providing social-educational programs to help improve and preserve family life for a large population of farmworkers and low-income families living in Deep South Miami-Dade County, Fl.
Rocio Tafur-Salgado, Ph.D., and Carlos E. Salgado, MFA. are the founders and directors of enFAMILIA, Inc. They have extensive experience working with low-income and diverse ethnics groups. They combined formal, professional Art Education, Mental Health counseling services, and several summers of field experiences doing missionary work in Mexico and Colombia to create the enFAMILIA.inc.
Enfamilia is committed to its principles and its Mission:Β To Build Healthy Relationships through Education and the Arts.
We provide programs and services that address the unique needs of our families. These programs are mainly to provide direct services to children, youth, and Adults.Β
Considering COVID-19, the 2020 and 2021 Summer Camps were designed to be held virtually, with a duration of 6 weeks, for the development of students and their artistic talents in visual arts, music, theater, and dance, in addition to academic support. Now we have resumed for the 2022 camp that we will start in June again the Face-to-face form, although we will continue to insist on the Virtual given the importance of digitalization in the current World that we live PostCovid-19.
We have not stopped in our activities, COVID-19 has been our biggest challenge. We are very proud, and we count on an amazing group of professional and dedicated staff, and we continue working hard to meet the needs of our community.Β
