This section presents the latest activities being carried out by enFAMILIA for the benefit of the Community with the collaboration of Guillermo Tafur and Dora Ramirez.
THE JEWISH FOUNDATION GIFT DISTRIBUTION
βThe Jewish Foundationβ generously donated gifts to the 34 students currently enrolled in the enFAMILIA after school Program in Everglades Camp. The students and their families were very happy and grateful for all the gift donations given by βThe Jewish Foundationβ.

EDGE CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE
Homestead Police Athletic Gym, December 18,2021
The enFAMILIAβs SFPN team: The Care Coordinators and the Natural Helper participated at βEDGE Christmas Eventβ in the Homestead Police Athletic Gym. With the participation of other agencies, enFAMILIA distributed toys for the second year during the pandemic and a total of four Christmas donations were Distributed to approximately 120 children/students that enFAMILIA serves in a daily basis.
NURTURING PARENTING PROGRAM CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Redondo Elementary School, December 15, 2021
The Nurturing Parenting Program/classes at Redondo Elementary School. Celebrated Christmas together with enFAMILIAβs NPP team and support staff. Parents came together and had quality time with their children as they participated in interactive activities and received gifts from Santa.

The Group Leaders attended a concert by the Nu Deco Ensemble in the Adrienne Arsht Center. Music has always been a focus of interest for some of the group leaders, enFAMILIA was very excited to be invited by Ross Kaufman, Manager of Education and Outreach for the Nu Deco Ensemble. The concert featured music inspired by Ray Charles, an opera performance in collaboration with JβNai Bridges, and a collaboration with Masego.
EnFAMILIA CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

enFAMILIA personnel, together celebrated Christmas for the first time after two years due to the ongoing pandemic. The outdoor celebration focused on all the great work and effort that enFAMILIAβs team puts forth every single day to fulfill our mission to promote healthy relationships through education and the arts in deep south Miami-Dade County.

EEP2S Everglades Afterschool center.Β Via Zoom our teacher is working with the students, in the first picture they are creating their names and decorating them after reading the book βALMAβ about a girl who had a long name and went in search of finding where did the names come from. The teacher is demonstrating how to draw a start step by step a pond a request of a student who said they needed help drawing a star. The children are promoting there fine gross skills in creating their names on the paper and using Classroom materials such as Paper, pencils and crayons/ color pencils. Ms. Alma also works with the students one on one and as a group helping the children complete the math homework by going question by questions and allowing the children to participate and learn math.Β Β

Students working on i-Ready one on one with tutor.Our students are playing a game using gross motor skills,Β oneΒ student is guiding the other while walking avoiding the footsteps on the mat. They take turn spinning the wheel to determine the steps they will be taking.Β Β
Students are working on creating Bats from recycled Materia using Plastic spoons and paint.

Students creating DIY name bead bracelets. This activity is a fun way to help preschoolers to learn the letters of their name and practice fine motor skills.
Students creating creative art. This activity allows students to enhance their motor skills, language development, decision making, visual learning and cultural awareness. The arts encourage students to rick-free exploration, and it is this freedom that builds confidence.

2021-2022 School Year
In (Casita A) studentβs grades K-3, engaging in βsight wordβ activity. Students are going over their vocabulary words in a fun interactive way, by using shaving cream and food coloring. This activity enhances their fine motor stills and cognitive skills.
Casita A students, celebrating their culture with a cultural piΓ±ata. Students are working on a piΓ±ata using recycled materials. With this activity students are enhancing their fine motor skills as well as learning teamwork. All while learning and enjoying each diversity.
Students practice their ABCβS using Q-tips and paint, why use pencils! Students engage in the activity and put more emotion into learning. While using their fine motor skills and creativity.
Computer learning: Students working on reflex math and iReady. Students are working on different areas of learning sciences, math, reading, language arts and much more. Children are acquiring technology skills and enhancing their learning.

Children had the chance to do face painting and display their face painting and costumes while enjoying the pinata

EMERGENCY RELIEF CHECKS DONATION
Main Office - New York Group - September 9, 2021
With the generous kind donation of $7,500.00 from the New York Group. enFAMILIA was able to provide βEmergency Relief Checksβ to 10 families in need. Throughout the pandemic many of our families have been faced with hardships in their daily lives. Many of our families have faced a death in the family, have been reduced hours of work, and have struggled financially to pay utility bills or rent. This donation positively impacted our families lives.
